Micaela Parsman qualified at the University of Johannesburg, attaining her LLB degree and has been practising matrimonial and family law exclusively since commencing her articles in September 2021.

Micaela is passionate about family law due to its dynamic and ever-changing nature, her passion for this field of law stretches toward matters with an international angle, such as international child abductions by a parent (often regulated by the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction), and disputed or undisputed international relocations (where both parents have consented to a child leaving South Africa, or where the consent of the High Court is sought), divorces between residents of South Africa and other countries, foreign divorces of ex-South Africans, and international maintenance cases (often regulated by the Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Orders Act).
