Our firm traces its origins to Shando Theron, our founding partner. Shando had an illustrious military career and became an officer and the elite Parachute Batallion, where he was exposed to Military Law and the Military Court System. Shando still appears in the Military Courts as a prosecutor of pro bono Defender when called upon to do so.

After Graduating from Stellenbosch Shando relocated to Johannesburg and soon made a name for himself winning what was considered an unwinnable custody case for fathers and earning a reputation for having female clients receive substantial financial divorce settlements.

Shando specialises in International, (multi-jurisdictional) divorces and International Child abductions as well as being a champion for the Rights of Fathers.

Shando has represented clients in South Africa and around the world. He is a prolific writer on the above subject and has published numerous articles and has been interviewed on radio, television and social media, as an expert. He is also a member of the Gauteng Family Law Forum.
